The Golden Rule, an ethics of reciprocity, has a long and valued history in many cultures, but seems to have fallen into disfavor recently in these United States. Why is that, I wonder? Too expensive? Too much trouble? Too what, exactly?

Recall:

Do unto others, like you would have them do unto you.

or

Don’t do to others, what you wouldn’t want them to do to you.
